To empirically examine the influence and mechanisms of digital inclusive finance on the total factor productivity (TFP) of new agricultural business entities, this study leverages the 2015 CMES survey data and constructs a Tobit model based on the TFP perspective. The findings indicated that: The progression of digital inclusive finance has propelled the enhancement of TFP among new agricultural business entities; This impact demonstrated heterogeneity, and digital inclusive finance exerted a more pronounced promotional effect on the TFP of new agricultural business entities in the eastern region, particularly those characterized by smaller scale and a higher degree of mechanization. Mechanism analysis discovered that digital inclusive finance principally fostered the augmentation of total factor productivity by alleviating financial constraints on new agricultural business entities and augmenting their innovation capabilities. In conclusion, it is imperative to expand the reach of digital inclusive finance in rural areas, bolster financial security, elevate the quality of financial services for new agricultural business entities, and further propel the modernization transformation of new agricultural operators.
