Three dimensional (3D) reconstruction of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) aerial images is an important means to obtain high quality 3D models. In the existing UAV aerial photography task planning methods, generate simple the routes are generated simply and the aerial photography angle is fixed, which lead to insufficient coverage of the image, thus restricting 3D modeling quality. To obtain high quality 3D model, a shortest route planning method based on view reconstructability constraint is proposed. The candidate viewpoint set is firstly generated based on the prior model by using the methed. Then the viewpoint is optimized by using the downhill simplex method constrained by reconstructability. Finally the shortest route istransformed into the traveling salesman problem to be solved. The experimental results show that this route planning method can improve the coverage degree of the image to the scene and significantly improve the reconstruction effect of the target scene. The quality of 3D image reconstruction can be improved by designing the shortest route of UAV with the constraint of reconstructability.
