To
cultivate pharmacy service-oriented professionals who possess both medical and
pharmaceutical expertise, optimizing the construction of core courses in
clinical pharmacy and enhancing students’ practical abilities are of utmost
importance. Taking
the diagnostics on-line and off-line blended first-class course at Shenyang
Pharmaceutical University as an example, we have utilized high-quality online
resources that complement offline teaching and conducted multiple cycles of
teaching practice to improve the content design, the process of organization
and implementation, the reform of teaching methods and assessment methods as
well as the evaluation of teaching effect. Finally, we constructed core courses
suitable for the educational goal of clinical pharmacy specialty. The new
teaching mode enhances students' practical ability, improves their learning
experience, and achieves good teaching effect. In the meanwhile, it provides a
reference for the construction of core undergraduate courses in clinical pharmacy in
China.
