Objective A quantitative scientific assessment of the value of ecological products in the Nanling Ethnic Corridor was conducted in order to provide a scientific basis for promoting the coordinated and sustainable development of regional ecology, culture, and economy. Methods Based on the three-dimensional classification framework of ‘supply-regulation-culture’, a targeted value accounting indicator system was constructed. The ecosystem service value assessment method, geographic information system (GIS), and remote sensing technology were comprehensively applied to calculate the value of regional ecological products from 2010 to 2023. The temporal evolution patterns were revealed through trend analysis and abrupt change monitoring, and the spatiotemporal differentiation characteristics and driving mechanisms of the value of regional ecological products were clarified. Results ① In terms of temporal evolution, the overall value of regional ecological products showed a steady growth trend. However, significant differentiation was observed in the growth rates of its internal components, and periodic fluctuations occurred due to external shocks. Regarding spatial distribution, the value distribution exhibited prominent heterogeneity, with an overall pattern of ‘higher in the east and west, lower in the middle’ overlaid with service types. The driving factors were highly correlated with topography, geomorphology, ethnic culture, and policy incentives. ② In terms of structural characteristics, the composition of ecological product value demonstrated both stability and functional adaptability, aligning closely with the regional positioning of ‘ecological barrier + ethnic culture’. Conclusion To improve the conversion efficiency, it is necessary to construct a regionally adaptive accounting system that incorporates the dimension of ethnic cultural characteristics, innovate the ‘ecology+culture’ synergistic conversion mechanism to promote the integrated development of conservation and ethnic economy, and develop a cross-regional coordinated governance framework to strengthen the ‘culture+ecology’ consensus among multiple stakeholders.
