In this study, based on condensation polymerization, boron chelate resin with o-hydroxyl group was prepared by reversed-phase suspension polymerization. The structure of the resin was optimized by controlling the feeding mode and heating mode, and adjusting the dispersing medium, the type and amount of reaction solvent, reaction temperature and time. The effects of pH and initial concentration of adsorption solution on boron adsorption performance were investigated. Under optimal conditions, the resin showed a high adsorption capacity of 84.5 mg/g for boric acid, which was better than commercial Amberlite IRA-743 resin. In the boron-silicon mixed system, the resin showed excellent boron selectivity and boron adsorption performance, with a boron selectivity coefficient of 1384.
