A molecularly imprinted composite photocatalyst (MIL-101(Fe)@IPA(MIP)) for the selective catalytic degradation of ciprofloxacin (CIP) was successfully fabricated by integrating molecular imprinting technology with photocatalytic functionality. The morphology and structural properties of MIL-101(Fe)@IPA(MIP) were systematically characterized, and the effects of various environmental factors on its adsorption and degradation performances were comprehensively evaluated. MIL-101(Fe)@IPA(MIP) exhibited a saturated adsorption capacity of 95.3 mg/g for CIP, with an imprinting factor up to 3.5. The adsorption kinetics fit well to the pseudo second-order model (R2=0.9842), whereas the isothermal adsorption process followed the Freundlich model (R2=0.9798), indicating heterogeneous surface adsorption. Furthermore, adsorption and regeneration experiments confirmed the material, with high selective recognition capability and excellent reusability, can maintain an adsorption capacity of 81.2 mg/g after five consecutive adsorption-desorption cycles. The degradation efficiency of CIP reached 100% within 60 min of reaction with a MIL-101(Fe)@IPA(MIP)/UV/H₂O₂ photocatalytic system, while the iron leaching was only 0.051 mg/L. This paper presented a novel strategy for the targeted adsorption and catalytic degradation of pollutants in aquatic environments using Fe-based metal-organic framework materials with high structural stability and catalytic efficiency of the photocatalyst.
