The content of six phthalate esters, including dimethyl phthalate (DMP), diethyl phthalate (DEP), butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), and di-n-octyl phthalate (DNOP), in wastewater was determined in accordance with Water quality—Determination of 6 phthalate esters (PAEs)—Liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (HJ 1242—2022). According to Evaluation and Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (JJF1059.1—2012), four components that affected the uncertainty, namely the preparation of standard series solutions, the fitting of standard curves, the pretreatment process, and the repeated determination of samples, were analyzed. The results indicated that for DMP, DEP, BBP, and DNOP, the main sources of uncertainty were the preparation of standard series solutions and the fitting of standard curves, while for DBP and DEHP, it was the preparation of standard series solutions. When the coverage factor k=2, the determination results of DMP, DEP, BBP, DBP, DEHP, and DNOP in wastewater were expressed as (4.0±0.6), (4.0±0.6), (3.7±0.6), (39±4), (40±4) μg/L, and (3.7±0.6) μg/L, respectively. This study evaluated the detection capability of our laboratory for six phthalate esters in wastewater and provided a reference for improving the quality stability of the detection process.
