Objective The compensation device is very important for the design of high-pressure gear pump. In order to increase the pressure of internal gear pump, it is necessary to accurately model the compensation device. Method In this study, based on the analysis of the radial compensation mechanism, the pressure distribution law of the device in the transition area in a cycle was analyzed and deduced in details, and then the mathematical model of the device was established according to the conditions of balancing the force of inner-outer crescent blocks. Finally, according to the design Parameters, which included the pressure boundary line, the distribution angle of the sealing rod, the spring, the installation angle and other parameters, the angle of the compensation cavity was calculated by MATLAB programming. Result Our results showed that the volumetric efficiency of the pump could reach 93.6% with the conditions of displacement of 101.2 mL/r, pressure of 20.2 MPa, rotation speed of 1 800 r/min, and the displacement angle of 30.12° in the crescent block.【Conlusion】 The design of the compensation device was effective since there was no abnormality in the whole running process and no "locked death" phenomenon of the sports assistant.
