To clarify the status and patterns of the green transformation of China’s feed enterprises, and deeply explore its influencing factors, this study conducts comprehensive empirical analysis based on data from A-share listed and NEEQ (National Equities Exchange and Quotations) feed enterprises. The Critic-Topsis method, kernel density estimation, and panel regression models are employed. The results showed that: 1) The overall level of green transformation of feed enterprises fluctuated upward but remained relatively low. The development of green transformation levels among different tiers was uneven, showing obvious differentiation characteristics. 2) The relative gap in the overall green transformation level of feed enterprises continued to narrow, converging toward a medium level. 3) The proportion of high-skilled labor, integration of executives’ environmental experience, and adaptability significantly promoted the green transformation of feed enterprises, whereas the degree of equity checks and balances, public attention-oriented, and market-oriented environmental regulations inhibited the green transformation of enterprises. 4) The proportion of high-skilled labor and equity checks and balances displayed more significant impacts on large-scale enterprises, executives’ environmental experience integration as well as public attention-oriented and market-oriented regulatory tools had more significant impacts on small-scale enterprises; the proportion of high-skilled labor had more significant impacts on central enterprises, environmental regulations had more significant impacts on eastern enterprises, and adaptability had more significant impacts on western enterprises.
