To address the shortcomings of traditional forward-secure attribute-based encryption (ABE) scheme in terms of practical availability and private key update efficiency, a puncturable ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption (P-CP-ABE) scheme is proposed. Firstly, the syntax and security model of P-CP-ABE based on the idea of puncturable public-key encryption are presented. Then, a concrete P-CP-ABE scheme based on a Bloom filter is constructed. Under the decisional l-BDHE (l-Bilinear Diffie-Hellman Exponent) assumption, the proposed scheme is proven to achieve selective forward security in the standard model. The performance analysis and simulation results demonstrate that private key update efficiency is significantly improved and more practical fine-grained forward security is realized by using the scheme. An efficient and secure approach for data encryption and fine-grained access control is provided by using the proposed scheme.
