To address the issue of sharp points or incomplete profiles at the wrap tip in scroll profiles generated by the Archimedean spiral, which results in incomplete meshing and a low compression ratio, this paper proposes a method to enhance the scroll profile by modifying the Archimedean spiral with arc segments. This approach enables the creation of fully meshed, high-compression-ratio scroll profiles. By applying first-order continuous smooth connection boundary conditions between the Archimedean spiral and the arc curve, equations for the inner and outer wall profiles of the modified Archimedean spiral scroll wraps are derived, and a mathematical model for their geometric properties is established. The effects of the modification angle on profile parameters and the geometric properties of the scroll wraps are analyzed, along with changes in the working chamber volume and flow field pressure before and after modification. Results indicate that the proposed method enables the modified Archimedean spiral scroll wraps to achieve full meshing, significantly boosting the compression ratio of the scroll compressor. When the modification angle t0=100°, the discharge volume decreases by 43.53%, the discharge pressure increases by 54.27%, and the compression ratio improves by 54.39%.
