Damage such as matrix cracking, fiber breakage, delamination, and debonding may occur during the production and use of honeycomb composite materials. These defects compromise the performance of honeycomb structures. Microwave time reversal offers advantages including non-contact operation and real-time efficiency, making it suitable for detecting internal damage in composites. To address the issues of slow detection speed and low efficiency in conventional microwave time reversal, this study employs GPU-accelerated microwave time reversal for internal damage detection and imaging in multi-scale honeycomb materials. The impact of pulse width on damage detection and imaging quality is discussed. The effectiveness of microwave time reversal in detecting damage at different locations and depths within the material is analyzed. Numerical results demonstrate that the microwave time reversal achieves excellent detection performance for internal damage within complex-structured honeycomb materials. Furthermore, the GPU-accelerated microwave time reversal achieves an acceleration ratio of 75.1.
