Hydrogen sensors are urgently demanded in the fields of hydrogen energy, petrochemical industry, gas piping and so on. Oxide semiconductor resistive hydrogen sensor is one of the most important research directions in the field of hydrogen sensor. The common problems of oxide semiconductor hydrogen sensors are systematically analyzed such as high operating temperature and poor gas selectivity. The research progress of gas sensing mechanism, composition design, morphology design and noble metal catalytic mechanism are in-depth reviewed. The current research challenges and future directions were also discussed, offering significant perspectives and directions for further research and application of the oxide semiconductor resistive hydrogen sensor.
