The diamond nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center integrated magnetometer shows great potential for high-sensitivity magnetic field sensing. However, its dynamic range is limited by the linear interval of the optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) demodulation signal, making it difficult to simultaneously achieve high-precision weak-field detection and strong-field measurement. To address this issue, a closed-loop frequency compensation technique based on real-time threshold recognition is proposed. By continuously monitoring the output signal of a lock-in amplifier, the frequency compensation is automatically triggered by this system when the magnetic field-induced frequency shift exceeds half of the linear interval threshold, thereby ensuring that the magnetometer remains stabilized within the linear response region. Experimental results show that the dynamic range of the magnetometer is extended by the proposed method from 341.4 μT to 4.08 mT with an improvement of approximately 12 times. Across the extended full scale, excellent linearity is maintained in system output with a goodness-of-fit R²=0.999 28, while a fast response time of about 70 ms without compromising the high sensitivity of 880.32 is achieved. Based on a highly integrated NV magnetometer platform, the advantages of wide dynamic range, high linearity and high sensitivity are combined in this system to enhane significantly the practical value of NV magnetometers in strong-field applications such as current detection and material imaging.
