The total flavonoid from leaves of Scutellaria amoena (SALF) was obtained and the content was determined. The radicals scavenging, α-glucosidase and pancreatic lipase inhibitory activities of SALF were investigated. The results showed that the content of total flavonoid was 492.1±15.5 mg/g by spectrophotometry with rutin as a reference. The 50% scavenging concentrations (SC50) of SALF on DPPH radicals (DPPH•), ABTS radicals (ABTS•+),hydroxyl radical (OH•) and nitric oxide radical (NO•) were 57.58±7.10, 20.71±1.63, 44.40±2.74, and 104.61±9.39 μg/mL, respectively. The 50% inhibitory concentrations of enzymes activities (IC50)of SALF on α-glucosidase from Saccharomyces cerevisiae (α-glucosidase-Y), α-glucosidase from rats small intestine (α-glucosidase-R), and pancreatic lipase were 228.6±4.61, 128.4±5.83, and 22.41±1.13 μg/mL, respectively. The results after statistical analyzed indicate that SALF has a certain degree of radicals scavenging, α-glucosidase and pancreatic lipase inhibitory activities.
