The subway line will cause vibration interference when passing through buildings. In this paper, based on the problem of subway vibration reduction, a new type of periodic local resonance concrete slab (PLRCs) was proposed, and its band-gap characteristics and vibration reduction mechanism were analyzed and verified by combining test and simulation. The vibration attenuation performance of PLRCs induced by train vibration was studied, and the effects of structural geometry and material parameters on the band gap of bending wave were investigated. The results show that PLRCs can open the band gap of bending wave in the frequency range of 54.3~121.8 Hz and suppress its dynamic response. The coupling between the modes leads to the flexural band gap, which restricts the flexural wave to the cavity and prevents its propagation in the plate, thus suppressing the vibration. The band gap range can be optimized by changing the PLRCs structure size parameters and material parameters reasonably. The attenuation range decreases gradually with the increase of the thickness, width and elastic modulus of the flexible coating. Both scale test and simulation test show that PLRCs structure has better damping effect than concrete slab. Therefore, PLRCs structure can provide new ideas and methods for vibration reduction of current building structures.
