高中和大专及以上学历的母亲比初中及以下学历的母亲更可能知晓HPV(高中:OR=2.21,95%CI:1.58~3.10;大专及以上:OR=5.10,95%CI:2.50~10.39)和HPV疫苗(高中:OR=2.18,95%CI:1.47~3.24;大专及以上:OR=9.68,95%CI:3.31~28.25).子女未接种HPV疫苗的母亲中,86.74%母亲愿意为其子女接种HPV疫苗.知晓HPV(OR=1.95,95%CI:1.10~3.46)、知晓HPV疫苗(OR=2.63,95%CI:1.47~4.69)、知晓HPV疫苗相关知识(OR=1.82,95%CI:1.14~2.91)、女孩(OR=2.81,95%CI:1.86~4.26)的母亲为其子女接种HPV疫苗意愿更高。

Abstract

Objective To explore the influencing factors of the awareness of HPV and HPV vaccine among mothers of senior primary school students in Guangdong Province and their willingness to vaccinate their children. Methods A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted on 1262 mothers of fifth- and sixth-grade primary school students in the Pearl River Delta, East and West Wings of Guangdong Province and northern Guangdong Province from June 2022 to October 2022 using the multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method to analyze the mothers' awareness of HPV and HPV vaccine and their attitudes towards HPV vaccination of their children. Results A total of 1168 subjects were effectively investigated, and 820 (70.21%) mothers were aware of HPV and 938 (80.31%) were aware of HPV vaccine. Mothers with high school education or above were more likely to be aware of HPV vaccine (high school: OR=2.21, 95%CI: 1.58-3.10; college degree or above: OR=5.10, 95%CI: 2.50-10.39) and HPV vaccine (high school: OR=2.18, 95%CI: 1.47-3.24; college degree or above: OR=9.68, 95%CI: 3.31-28.25). Among the mothers whose children have not been vaccinated against HPV, 86.74% of mothers are willing to vaccinate their children against HPV. Mothers who knew HPV (OR=1.95, 95%CI: 1.10-3.46), HPV vaccine (OR=2.63, 95%CI: 1.47-4.69), HPV vaccine (OR=1.82, 95%CI: 1.14-2.91), and girls (OR=2.81, 95%CI: 1.86-4.26) were more willing to vaccinate their children. Conclusion Students' gender, HPV and HPV vaccine awareness are the main factors affecting the willingness of mothers of senior primary school students to be vaccinated against HPV, and it is recommended to strengthen the health education of HPV vaccine knowledge among mothers of senior primary school students, and increase the vaccination rate to prevent cervical cancer.
