Global research trends in quality of life among children with epilepsy: a 30-year bibliometric and visualization analysis

摘要

目的 对全球30年来癫痫儿童生活质量的研究进行文献计量和可视化分析,总结该领域的研究现状、热点和前沿,为今后的研究提供参考和指导。方法 检索 Web of Science Core Collection(WoSCC)中1994年1月-2023年12月关于癫痫儿童生活质量的相关论文。CiteSpace6.3.R1用于协作分析、关键词聚类分析、突发关键词分析和文献共被引分析。结果 共纳入1 983篇论文。过去30年中,该领域的论文数量逐年增加,但国家、机构和作者间的联系相对较弱。研究热点包括癫痫共患注意缺陷多动障碍、睡眠障碍等共病问题;深部脑刺激、新型抗癫痫发作药物的安全性和癫痫共患病的管理被认为是未来的研究趋势。结论 癫痫儿童生活质量的研究仍是热点。癫痫的治疗方式、共患病影响、评估工具的跨文化验证是主要研究内容。未来趋势可能集中于高质量试验探索优化干预方案、新型药物及基于电子医疗的个性化护理。

Abstract

Objective To conduct a bibliometric and visualization analysis of global research on quality of life among children with epilepsy over the past 30 years,summarize the research status,hotspots,and frontiers in this field,and provide references and guidance for future research. Methods Literature on quality of life in children with epilepsy published between January,1994 and December,2023 was searched from the Web of Science Core Collection(WoSCC) database,CiteSpace 6.3.R1 was used for collaboration analysis,keyword clustering analysis,burst keyword analysis,and document co-citation analysis. Results A total of 1 983 papers were included.Over the past 30 years,the number of papers in this field has increased year by year,but the links between countries,institutions and authors are relatively weak.Research hotspots include epilepsy comorbid attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD),sleep disorders and other comorbidities;deep brain stimulation(DBS),the safety of novel antiseizure medications and the management of epilepsy comorbidities are considered to be future research trends. Conclusion Research on quality of life among children with epilepsy remains a hotspot.Treatment strategies for epilepsy,the impact of comorbidities on quality of life,and cross-cultural validation of assessment tools are the main research topics.Future trends may focus on high-quality clinical trials exploring optimized intervention strategies,novel medications,and personalized care based on digital medicine.
