Sedimentary characteristics and hydrocarbon accumulation conditions of the sandstone debris flow in the second member of Jurassic Sangonghe Formation on southern slope of Mahu Depression
Sandy debris flow deposits are developed in the second member of Jurassic Sangonghe Formation in the southern slope of Mahu Depression. Based on reservoir physical properties and seismic data, core observation and thin section identification methods were adopted, analysis of its sedimentary characteristics and hydrocarbon accumulation conditions. The results indicate that: the results indicate that: the sandy debris flow sand body in the second member of Sangonghe Formation on southern slope of Mahu Depression have main sedimentary indicators include abrupt contact, floating mud, gravel and mud tearing debris. The grain size probability curves mostly present a gentle upward-arched "two-segment" shape, with the jump components being dominant. On the seismic profile, they have a doublephase strong reflection structure composed of a strong trough first and then a strong peak, and horizontally, it shows the characteristics of short-axis and discontinuous tongue-shaped distribution. There are two slope break zones in the second member of Sangonghe Formation in the study area. When mechanisms such as abundant sediment supply or strong hydrodynamic conditions are triggered, the delta front sand bodies above the slope break zones collapse into the semi-deep lake subfacies to form sandy debris flow deposits. The sandy debris flow sand body in the second member of Sangonghe Formation on southern slope of Mahu Depression has the characteristics of efficient source rock conditions, good reservoir cap combination, three-dimensional transport system and superior lateral blocking for reservoir formation, this result has guiding significance for the next step of oil and gas exploration in the research area.
