V-2级阻燃聚丙烯材料的制备及性能研究
Preparation and Properties Study of V-2 Flame Retardant Polypropylene Material
采用双螺杆挤出机制备UL-94 V-2级阻燃聚丙烯(PP)材料,研究阻燃剂对共聚PP、均聚PP材料阻燃性能、极限氧指数(LOI)、耐热性能及力学性能的影响。结果表明:阻燃剂含量越多,PP材料的阻燃效果越好。阻燃剂的加入提高PP材料的LOI,材料的LOI随着阻燃剂含量增加缓慢增加,均聚PP的LOI高于共聚PP。当共聚PP中添加质量分数为2.0%的阻燃剂时,共聚PP的LOI从17.1%提高至21.3%。当均聚PP中添加质量分数为0.2%的阻燃剂时,均聚PP的LOI从17.3%提高至22.8%。阻燃剂的加入能够降低PP材料的热分解温度和耐温性能,V-2级阻燃共聚PP比均聚PP需要更多阻燃剂,V-2级阻燃均聚PP比共聚PP耐温性好。阻燃剂的加入对PP材料的拉伸强度影响不大,但是降低材料的断裂伸长率和悬臂梁缺口冲击强度,提高材料的熔体流动速率。
UL-94 V-2 grade flame-retardant polypropylene (PP) materials were prepared using a twin-screw extruder, and the effect of the flame retardant on the flame retardancy, limiting oxygen index (LOI), thermal resistance, and mechanical properties of copolymer PP and homopolymer PP were investigated. The results showed that the flame-retardant effect of the PP materials improved with increasing flame retardant loading. The content of the flame retardant increased the LOI of the PP materials, and the LOI increased gradually with increasing flame retardant content, with homopolymer PP exhibiting a higher LOI than copolymer PP. When 2.0% mass fraction of flame retardant was added to copolymer PP, the LOI increased from 17.1% to 21.3%. When 0.2% mass fraction of flame retardant was added to homopolymer PP, the LOI increased from 17.3% to 22.8%. The incorporation of the flame retardant reduced the thermal decomposition temperature and thermal resistance of the PP materials. V-2 grade flame-retardant copolymer PP required more flame retardant than homopolymer PP, while V-2 grade flame-retardant homopolymer PP demonstrated superior thermal resistance compared with copolymer PP. The addition of the flame retardant had little effect on the tensile strength of the PP materials, but decreased the elongation at break and notched Izod impact strength, while increasing the melt flow index.
