The relationship between phase-change material content and the physical properties of phase-change foam concrete (FC-mPCM) has not yet been systematically clarified. This study experimentally quantifies the influence of PCM dosage on the physical properties of FC-mPCM and establishes the intrinsic correlation among the design parameters, physical properties, and micro-pore characteristics. Phase change foam concrete with a target dry density of 1000 kg/m³ was prepared by controlling the dosage of phase change materials (accounting for 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% of the cementitious material, respectively), and relevant physical property parameters were tested. The results show that with the increase of phase change material dosage, the dry density and thermal conductivity of phase change foam concrete present a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. When the phase change material dosage is 10%, the dry density and thermal conductivity reach the maximum values of 1513.10 kg/m³ and 0.2440 W/(m·K), respectively. Under the same relative humidity, as the phase change material content increases, the equilibrium moisture content, water vapor permeability coefficient, and transmission rate of phase change foam concrete exhibit a decreasing trend. This trend slows down when the PCM content reaches 15%, and the best moisture-proof and moisture-barrier performance is achieved at a content of 25%. Further XRD, DSC, and pore size analysis tests indicate that the effect of phase change material content on its pore characteristics is the fundamental reason for the variation of its physical property parameters.
