The Xizang Plateau is characterized by year-round low pressure and hypoxia, along with long, cold, and extremely dry winters, which severely affect the life and health of both non-native and long-term native plateau populations. Conventional humidification and oxygen-enrichment technologies developed for normal pressure regions are largely ineffective under the plateau's low pressure, lacking fundamental theoretical support and plateau-specific design methodologies. This paper investigates the physiological adaptation mechanisms of individuals to low-pressure, hypoxic, and extremely dry environments, and summarizes theoretical issues concerning plateau building environment construction such as the mass transfer mechanism of oxygen-humid airflow under low-pressure and extremely dry conditions. Furthermore, relevant suggestions are put forward for the construction of indoor humid-oxygen environment in buildings under special plateau conditions.
