叙事医学主体间性融入医学英语口语教学路径分析
An Analysis of Pathways for Integrating Intersubjectivity in Narrative Medicine into Oral Medical English Teaching
叙事医学融入医学院校医学英语类课程的实践方兴未艾,以医患沟通场景为依托的融入形式尚未得到重视。医患沟通既是医学叙事能力的培养工具,也是叙事医学教育的重要目的。作为医患沟通的典型场景,问诊是开展叙事医学教育和医学英语口语教学的理想场域。将基于叙事医学主体间性理论的叙事问诊模式融入医学英语口语教学,并在广州中医药大学硕士研究生中进行了初步探索。以叙事问诊视频细读和叙事问诊情景表演为基本架构的英语叙事问诊教学,融合了实践叙事医学的三个要素(关注、再现和归属)和培养叙事能力的两个工具(细读和写作),可以达成学生医学英语口语能力和医学叙事能力的并轨培养,并令其将叙事医学的主体间性精神内化于心、外化于行。结合医学院校医学英语口语课的教学现状,在英语叙事问诊教学实践中还可通过师生共担言说主体、师生同为决策主体、建构师生评价共同体达成师生主体间性的建构。
It is an emerging practice to integrate narrative medicine into the medical English courses of medical colleges and universities. Doctor-patient communication scenarios, as an integration medium, have not yet received much attention. Doctor-patient communication is both a tool for developing medical narrative competence and an important objective of narrative medicine education. Medical consultation, as a typical scenario of doctor-patient communication, is an ideal setting for conducting narrative medicine education and teaching oral medical English. This paper proposes integrating the narrative consultation mode based on the theory of intersubjectivity in narrative medicine into oral medical English teaching, the practice of which has been tentatively explored among the master’s students of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. With the close reading of narrative consultation videos and the performance of narrative consultation scenarios as skeleton, English narrative consultation teaching incorporates the three elements in the practice of narrative medicine (attention, representation, and affiliation) and the two instruments for developing narrative competence (close reading and writing) and can achieve the simultaneous cultivation of students’ oral medical English skills and medical narrative competence, allowing students to internalize the intersubjective spirit of narrative medicine and externalize it in their actions. What’s more, taking into consideration the current situation of oral medical English courses in medical colleges and universities, the teaching practice of English narrative consultation can involve three strategies to achieve the construction of teacher-student inter-subjectivity, namely, teachers and students both acting as speaking subjects, joint decision-making by both parties and constructing a teacher-student evaluation community.
