With
the continuous development of engineering education and faculty development,
how to improve the overall quality of teachers and strengthen the development
of teaching staff have become a hot topic of engineering education research.
Engineering education requires a high-quality faculty to support its high-quality
development. Strengthening the teacher team is an important way to improve the
quality of education and teaching in schools. Currently, the difficulties of
faculty development in engineering education in China mainly lie in the
insufficient integration of theory and practice, as well as the insufficient
integration of professional and ideological and political education. The
authors analyze the current situation of faculty development in engineering
education, reflect on the lack of practice and weak ideological and political
abilities in development, and propose corresponding improvement strategies to further
enhance the comprehensive quality and moral level of the teacher team, and
establish a higher-quality teaching staff.
